Helio Courier on Amphibious Floats On Display, Stearman Bi-Plane, Cornell Live Birds of Prey! (Other surprises too)

Breakfast Line Enjoy a great meal, see displays of airplanes, and take a tour of the area from the air in an East Hill airplane! Learn how to become a pilot! We will be showing aviation films all morning and you can try our simulator with an FAA instructor and even log some time.

The all-you-can-eat menu includes:

  • New Hope Mills pancakes
  • Fried eggs and sausage
  • Pure New York State maple syrup
  • Applesauce
  • Real brewed coffee, tea, orange juice, and hot chocolate.

    New This Year:
    Indoor theater set-up in case of gray weather.
    We also have our simulator set up so everyone can try flying!

    Cornell Raptor Program, Helio Courier on Amphibious Floats (huge), Stearman Bi-plane, Discovery Flights in East Hill aircraft! ($35)
     

     

    • A special visit from the Cornell Raptor Birds at 10 AM. See a golden eagle and saw-whet owl up close!
    • A Sciencenter table with aviation-related fun. Balsa gliders for the kids.
    • Enjoy a flight with our flight instructors: available all day in a Cessna Skyhawk for $35. Tour Cayuga Lake from the sky, including the Cornell campus, downtown Ithaca and Taughannock Falls. Discover how fun flying yourself can be.
    • Visit the East Hill information table and see how easy it is to learn to fly!

    Directions

    By car: MAP

    From Rt. 13, turn North on Warren Road and follow the signs to the Tompkins County Airport (about a mile in). On the entrance road (Brown Road) we're the big, yellow hangar on the left as the road joins back into two lanes.

    Watch for volunteers to direct you to parking.

    Or fly in to join us!

    A very friendly tower: ITH VOR on the field 111.8, Tower 119.6, Ground 121.8, ATIS 125.175.  Park on the east ramp and get to the breakfast through Taughannock Aviation.  

    NO LANDING FEE THIS DAY!
