East Hill Flying Club has two roomy hangars. All planes are kept out of the weather!
We have two single-engine, two-place planes we use for training in the private pilot course, and a taildragger for fun and skill building. For a check-out, please download check-out forms for each aircraft: C-152, C-172, Mooney and be prepared for a thorough discussion of systems and performance. We have manuals for each plane for sale at the club.

We also have three Cessna four-place planes, all of which are IFR-certified and have a Garmin GNS-430 (WAAS) GPS Nav/Comm with color moving map. All Skyhawk panels are identical for training convenience. In addition, each Skyhawk has newly reupholstered front seats and BAS overhead four-point restraint seatbelts for safety. All GPS data bases are updated on the internet every 28 days and IFR current. The club maintains 3 NACA terminal and enroute chart subscriptions for club member's usage.

Technically advanced flight training now available at East Hill on this modern Aspen Avionics Evolution Flight Display, coupled to a Sigma-Tec autopilot. Learn to fly instruments on a modern interface.
The 200 horsepower Mooney is a "complex" plane (flaps, variable pitch prop, and retractable landing gear). This makes it suitable for certification of pilots in complex planes as well as the commercial pilot's license. With a true airspeed in excess of 150 kts and loaded with new avionics, it's also great for trips.
|N747CF||Complex, 200HP engine, IFR certified, Garmin GNS-430 GPS Nav/Comm, 2-axis Century II autopilot, Garmin GMA 340 Audio Panel, four place intercom, second King NAV/COMM with glide slope. In addition to WAAS capability with terrain mapping, this plane has Traffic Information Service (essentially TCAS) from the mode S transponder (Garmin GTX330/330D Mode S Transponder). Beautiful new interior with Aspen EFD and GNS 430 WAAS. Notice the newly chromed yokes with leather wraps! Seats are reupholstered with new rails and adjusters...just like new!
We use a Seneca II from another flight school as our multi-engine training plane, available by reservation or every couple of months for rental. This superb twin has numbers similar to the Mooney and is an excellent "next step" for the aspiring professional pilot. Average time training to complete a multi-engine with instrument privileges is 10-15 hours for a current Mooney pilot.
Dual alternators and vacuum pumps, (dual engines!) King KX 155, King KNS 80 RNAV, Dual King Glideslopes, Apollo GX60 IFR GPS/COMM, King KMA 20, 3M WX10A Stormscope, Piper Altimatic IIIC Autopilot. Unlike many "bargain twins" this plane enjoys meticulous maintenance. Multi-engine page.
Come try our new "computerized flight training device" (that would be a "simulator" in English), running the Elite software Version 8.5. This unit is manufactured by Precise Flight Controls. This sturdy unit has single and twin functions with full yoke, rudder, and digital avionics panel. The separate CFI console allows discrete settings for wind, weather and failure modes.... definite trouble! The computer tracks and replays your flight if desired. The radios emulate standard King avionics with normal tune/ID features. This now has the approvals under AC 61-126 for all part 61 and 141 flight training. Pilots training or regaining proficiency can log approaches and hours on this machine. Pilots maintaining currency can actually log approaches flown solo now. The versatility of this device is truly amazing.
|PCATD|| PC based FAA-Approved flight training device (FTD). Wonderful for initial and recurrent training on all the navigational systems, including Garmin 430 (WAAS). If you get confused, we can freeze and replay your flight. An instructor can start or reposition your aircraft at any airport in the US and vary the wind, turbulence and clouds. Watch out for mechanical and wx surprises!
For twin-drivers, this simulator can be configured as a Baron of Seneca with all the knobs and functions.
Rental rates for these planes are on our rental rates page.
