Rates: "Have fun and fly safely!"

The fleet rates were just adjusted in Spring 2012 (reflecting those amazing fuel increases). The board of directors set prices by carefully analyzing costs and breaking them down on an hourly basis (available by request to any member for review). Accounts for aircraft maintenance, avionics and engine overhauls are funded monthly and paid into CDs. The board of directors also decides any surplus to retain for new avionics and aircraft upgrades. Insurance fees are applied on a "postal" basis (equally by hour flown), hence some planes are occasionally "subsidized" as a marketing decision. Our recent initiative is to upgrade both avionics and aircraft appearance: four WAAS Garmin GPS units have been installed plus paint and autopilot on N97266. Most recently, we installed an Aspen Glass Panel in this plane! Please enjoy and take care of your planes!

Hourly rates for Plane Rental and Instruction

Our airplanes are rented "wet" (oil and fuel included). You must be a member to fly our planes but our rates are "at-cost" (we are not-for-profit), and this includes full insurance coverage. Fuel purchased elsewhere is reimbursed (at club rates). We recently augmented our  $1,000,000 in liability with smooth coverage (no "sub-limits")  and this includes full hull coverage. All members are insured as "owners" with only a $500 deductible. You cannot buy insurance this good as a "renter!"

Current prices incorporate the latest fuel increases. Fuel cost is currently almost half of your rental cost!

Other Fees

Our club has the following financial requirements for pilots joining:

• $400 one-time initiation fee for administrative and insurance cost (you will not have to buy your own insurance).
• $250 for the the complete Jeppesen Guided Discovery ground school materials (if you are joining as a student), available as books or now web-based (on line)
• A $700 refundable deposit. The original members contributed to buy the first airplane...we still do this but you get it back if you leave.
  
• $50 monthly dues as long as you are an active member of the club. Members with a full deposit may become inactive with written notice; inactive members are only charged $5 a month and $45 for reactivation.
• Junior and social memberships are available for $10 a month and $100 initiation. The junior membership is for those interested and too young to solo. eep the interest going and fly once a month. Social membership for those who enjoy aviation and want to support East Hill and be part of the gang!

Members that get behind paying the club are "grounded." This is a sad state of affairs; you can't fly; even your parking privileges are revoked, and we all treat you badly! Please pay your bill on time, it costs us all money to play "bank!" We are all just sharing the cost of this operation afterall.
